Pedro Rodríguez traveled to London to close his signing with Chelsea
The Barcelona forward Pedro Rodríguez has traveled to London to finalize his signing with Chelsea. He could undergo a medical examination today and be presented tomorrow as the new player of the 'blues'.
According to the newspaper Marca, the English club would have agreed with Barcelona to pay 28 million euros plus another 2 in incentives for the player's transfer. Barcelona has authorized him to travel to the English capital, as they have given the green light to the operation.
The Barcelona striker, who has been waiting for a solution to his demand for weeks, wants to be transferred to the Premier League in search of more playing time. The trio formed by Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suárez has closed the doors to him since last season.
Last Monday, Ed Woodward, sporting director of Manchester United, was in the Catalan capital to negotiate Pedro's signing, but the offer of 25 million euros from the Red Devils was considered insufficient by the Catalan club.
Barcelona, which publicly valued the Canary forward at 30 million euros, referring to his release clause, also did not agree with the payment conditions offered by United.
