The Tricolor team stated in a press release that the fans identified as members number 82,520 and 108,733 acted "insensitively" and "lacking any sense of human dignity".

The club also emphasized that the two fans acted against the "traditional" ethical behavior of the institution during the first leg of the Copa Libertadores second phase match, which Nacional won 1-0 at the Arena Condá in Chapecó.

Nacional also announced that it has provided the information of the two fans to the corresponding authorities in order to prevent their access to sporting events.

The two Tricolor fans, as seen in videos shared on the social network YouTube, mocked the accident that occurred near the Colombian city of Medellín on November 28, 2016, and claimed the lives of 71 people including players, crew, journalists, and officials of Chapecoense.
