Lucas Moura: A Great Signing for Tottenham Hotspur
In the winter transfer market of 2013, Paris Saint-Germain announced the arrival of one of the most sought-after footballers of the moment, Brazilian player Lucas Moura. The midfielder became one of the first major signings for a club that was already threatening to shake up European football with its petrodollars.
Five years later, the same player who seemed capable of making history at Parc des Princes has been forced to leave the French team due to the continuous arrival of new stars that have ended up overshadowing him (this season he had not started a single match in Ligue 1).
At 25 years old, and with a long career still ahead of him, the canarinho heads to the Premier League, where he will have the opportunity to defend the colors of one of the teams that plays the best football, Tottenham. However, securing a place in a squad that already includes the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, and Erik Lamela will not be an easy task.
On the plus side for Moura, he has not played a single game in the Champions League this season with PSG, which could make him a very interesting option for Mauricio Pochettino in the tough double clash against Juventus in the round of 16.
We are delighted to announce the signing of @LucasMoura7 from Paris Saint-Germain!
