According to El Periódico on Sunday, Borussia Dortmund has signed Sergio Gómez, one of the pearls of La Masia youth academy, for three million euros.
The midfielder, only 17 years old, was one of the most outstanding players of the Spanish U-17 National Team in the last World Cup, in which Spain lost the final against a formidable England. This championship started to elevate the Barça youth player, awarded with the Silver Ball of the tournament.
According to this news, Dortmund has guaranteed Sergio Gómez a prompt inclusion in their first team. Therefore, Gómez, who will also enjoy a significant increase in his income, leaves Barça, with a contract until June 2019, and rejects Wenger's Arsenal, another great club interested in him.
