Luis Fernando Barco
Luis Fernando Barco, third in the 2016 edition, has not been able to have a consistent performance in the Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC). In three days of competition, the Peruvian golfer has dealt with inconsistency.
"In these three days I have been quite even. There are moments when I hit the ball well but I don't do very well on the greens. And I lose the feeling with my swing, so I haven't been able to put all the pieces together, that's why I'm playing like this, mediocre, so to speak," said Luis Fernando Barco to El Comercio after round 3 of the LAAC 2018.
The 22-year-old Peruvian golfer finished for the third consecutive day with 73 strokes, two over par. With that, Barco is ranked 30th in the standings with 219 strokes (+6).
In round 4 this Tuesday, the last day of the LAAC 2018, Luis Fernando Barco will seek to improve on what was done in the previous days of the prestigious event held in Chile.
"To be honest, I don't know how the rankings are going, but I would like to at least have a good score and finish as high as possible," concluded the golfer from Purdue University in the United States.
