Barcelona will pay off debts, thanks to the Yellow Night

Part of the income generated from this Saturday's event will be allocated for payments to Brahian Alemán and Andrés Franzoia, who wore the yellow jersey in previous years and left the team without reaching agreements.

Quito, Jan 21st (Andes).-

With the arrival of Brazilian Kaká for the Yellow Night, the Barcelona board of directors wants to surpass the club's income in 2016 with the arrival of Ronaldinho, that is, more than $1'500,000, including ticket sales, advertising, and TV rights.

If the 'yellow' fans fill the Monumental stadium this Saturday, they will generate more than $1,000,000 in ticket sales. The board of directors has decided that active members will be able to enter the traditional event for free.

Part of the income generated in this Saturday's event will be destined to payments to Brahian Alemán and Andrés Franzoia, who wore the yellow jersey in previous years and left the team without reaching agreements.

The president of the 'canarios', José Francisco Cevallos, confirmed the board's decision regarding the destination of the income. "We made an initial payment of $50,000 and we agreed that with the Yellow Night, if it's a full house, the relevant payments to Alemán and Franzoia will be funded."

Alfredo Aguilar, a member of the club's marketing committee, confirmed that the objective of the Yellow Night is to surpass the 2016 income with the arrival of Ronaldinho, which is why he invited the fans to fill the stadium and support the institution.

Although the executive avoided making a projection of the amounts they expect to have, he highlighted the strategy of bringing a world figure, as it is a hook for brands. But the plan was not as productive last year with the arrival of Diego Forlán, as the stadium was not full and the club only earned $381,035 from ticket sales.

Kaká's arrival, so far, has led five companies to buy their spaces in the show and a cable channel to pay for the broadcasting rights. According to Aguilar, a special marketing plan will be activated after the Yellow Night to promote three club products, one of which will be the YouTube channel.

The income from the work of this committee represents 30% of the 'amarillo' club's budget, which this year would amount to $20 million.

The 'Toreros' returned to the country yesterday afternoon to Guayaquil, after their participation in the Florida Cup and the first part of their preseason. In total, DT Guillermo Almada had 15 days to work with the main team, which this year will play in the Ecuadorian championship and the Copa Sudamericana.

Barcelona's last training session was on Thursday in Orlando. The coach decided to have a formal football match in two halves of 40 minutes and sketched out two different line-ups.

The 'torero' team will have to travel to Chile to participate as a rival of Colo Colo in the Alba Night; that event will take place on Wednesday, at 22:00 local time. According to several Chilean media outlets, the Barcelona squad will travel on the same day of the game on a charter flight to Santiago.
