After finishing in second place in the Florida Cup - due to Atlético Nacional's victory, the champion, on Saturday night - Barcelona Sporting Club resumed its preseason work at the Monumental de Guayaquil stadium, in preparation for the traditional Noche Amarilla, on January 27.

"(I am) looking forward to experiencing that night, which is special for everyone," said Argentine striker Juan Ignacio Dinenno, a new reinforcement for Barcelona this year.

The toreros will face the Peruvian club Sport Boys in their annual presentation next Saturday, and will also have the Brazilian Kaká among their ranks, a guest star invited by the Guayaquil-based club.

Although the yellow squad is focused on their next match at the Monumental stadium, Barcelona is scheduled to attend the so-called Noche Alba of Chilean team Colo Colo tomorrow. For that purpose, the toreros will have to travel to Santiago today.

"If I am part of the squad that travels (to Chile) and I have minutes (against Cacique), so be it," added Dinenno. "I will try to do my best then."

In the preseason tournament in Florida, Dinenno played in both of the yellow team's matches against Polish team Legia Warsaw and Brazilian team Fluminense; however, the Argentine did not score.

"My job is to give them options (teammates) so they have a secure pass and be the finisher of the play when I am playing as a striker," he said.

Barcelona is planning to depart for Santiago, Chile with a delegation of 20 players, as the Canary coach, Guillermo Almada, had announced upon their arrival in the United States.

The toreros would return to the main port city on Wednesday, the 24th, where they would finalize the squad that will face Sport Boys.

On the other hand, full-back Tito Valencia said yesterday that he is recovering from his injury in his left leg: "What will allow me to recover enough is the continuity of training." (D)
