PSG Coach Unai Emery to listen to Javier Pastore and Edinson Cavani's explanations for late return
PSG coach Unai Emery will listen to the explanations of Javier Pastore and Edinson Cavani, who arrived late for training after the Christmas break, explained on Friday at a press conference.
"Both of them are late to return and start training with the team, I will listen to their explanations when they return," explained the Basque coach. "It's better for the players to start training with the team, but we will listen to the explanations they give to the club and to me," said Emery.
Asked about their return date, he said: "I don't know. Cavani might return today, but it's not certain."
Shortly after, the Uruguayan ended the suspense by posting a video of himself training at the Paris Saint-Germain facilities on Twitter. Cavani had not been present during the fifteen-minute training session open to journalists.

According to RMC, Cavani's entourage cited a family problem to explain the delay. The situation is less clear with Javier Pastore, but both players will be sanctioned, according to the radio station.
"Originally, the return to training was scheduled for January 2nd, but the South Americans, who are numerous, had to return on January 1st from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay. They asked to stay there on the 1st and come back on the 2nd," Emery explained on Wednesday in an interview with AFP.
