Manchester City signings: Alexis Sánchez and Guardiola's other wish to strengthen [VIDEO]

Despite Manchester City's great moment, coach Pep Guardiola is thinking about strengthening his team and has considered two names, according to The Sun.

Manchester City

Manchester City remains as the firm candidate to be champion in all the tournaments it participates in this season. In the Premier League, for example, it holds a very good advantage over its closest pursuer and the title seems to be a matter of time. Despite this, coach Josep Guardiola, always thinking big, has in mind to strengthen the team and, according to The Sun, already has the names: Alexis Sánchez and Íñigo Martínez.

The situation with the Chilean is not something new. For a few months now, Alexis Sánchez has been linked to the 'Citizens' to join the attack. The need to have an additional alternative is urgent these days due to Gabriel Jesus' injury, with whom Pep will not be able to count for several months.

While it is an option for Alexis Sánchez to sign on a free transfer at the end of the season, there is also the possibility that he does it in this winter European market. And that is because the 'Gunners' could make money, as opposed to if they let him go in July, they will only say goodbye.

Another name revealed by the website The Sun is that of Real Sociedad's defender Íñigo Martínez. Guardiola knows the abilities of the Spaniard, whose characteristics are to the liking of the former Barcelona coach. However, Manchester City would have to pay at least 32 million euros for the rescission.

On the other hand, Manchester City's coach, Pep Guardiola, complained about the intense activity in the English Premier League during the last days of December and the first ones of January, and warned that such a overwhelmed schedule is going to "kill" the players.

The City was one of the clubs that had to play four matches in 11 days that included Christmas and New Year's festivities. Their last two games, a visit to Crystal Palace and a home match against Watford, took place on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively.
