Discussions for Özil's renewal were suspended in February of last year due to uncertainty surrounding Arsene Wenger's contract situation. However, when the Frenchman renewed his contract for two more years at the end of May, conversations with any of the three mentioned players were not resumed.

The club didn't make its first formal offer to Özil's representative until December, while Wilshere has not yet received a new contract, despite Wenger claiming that there is a financial difference between the club and the player.

Teams like Barcelona, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest at different levels for Mesut Özil, who recently bought a new house in London, where he is neighbors with German and Turkish friends.
