Valencia moves in the market to strengthen the squad

Valencia moves in the market with the fixed intention of reinforcing the squad according to the taste of Marcelino García Toral, with the plan of not modifying the good work that the Cantabrian coach has been doing so far. For this, the team has set its sights on two players from Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona as targets that would have their approval and would come to complement the shortcomings of the current squad.

As reported by Cadena SER Valencia, the Valencia team would have interfered in the imminent agreement between Atletico Madrid and Sporting de Portugal for Luciano Vietto. The Argentine, who has already been under Marcelino's orders at Villarreal, is one of the favorites to join the attacking options and his signing was already discussed in the summer, although it was eventually dismissed. In the new market, Atletico has firmly decided to let him go and Valencia, considering the difficulties in signing Sandro Ramirez, would have reconsidered the option of the Atletico forward as a possibility for success and in line with the club's plans.

However, his profile may not be what was initially contemplated by the sports management of Mestalla, being more similar to what Rodrigo Moreno and Santi Mina offer, which would fill the deck with a similar proposal, although this does not seem to be any obstacle to closing the deal. It is speculated that this could be finalized as a loan with a non-mandatory purchase option set at €15M.

Rafinha, back on Valencia's agenda

In addition to the striker, Valencia would also be working on reinforcing the midfield. According to Mundo Deportivo, Rafinha has once again knocked on the door of the team from the city of Turia. If FC Barcelona is not willing to count on the Brazilian, the player has the doors open at Mestalla, where his cousin Rodrigo would be delighted to welcome him.

After recovering from a long injury, the player finds it difficult to fit into Ernesto Valverde's plans despite initially being liked by the Extremaduran coach. This could facilitate a departure to find the playing time that will lead him to regain his best form. In Valencia, he could find his ideal place, in a midfield that could find its ideal rotation with him, a player who has excellent vision and the ability to facilitate fast counter-attacking play, which Marcelino has characterized this revamped Valencia team with.
