Movie Premiere: "Man of Faith" - A Story about Keylor Navas

Hundreds of people, especially children wearing the Real Madrid jersey, attended the movie premiere of goalkeeper Keylor Navas today at Costa Rica's movie theaters.

The feature film "Man of Faith" tells the story of Keylor Navas, from his childhood in the town of San Andrés de Pérez Zeledón, an agricultural area in southern Costa Rica, to his rise in his career that led him to Saprissa, the Costa Rican national team, and finally to Spain with Albacete, Levante, and Real Madrid.

The producers claim that the film aims to be a story of inspiration and faith in God, rather than excessively glorifying the figure of Navas.

The 97-minute film was shot in various locations in Costa Rica, including beaches and mountains, as well as in Spain, including the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

Navas appears in some scenes alongside his Real Madrid teammates, coach Zinedine Zidane, and club president Florentino Pérez.

The role of young Navas is played by José David Coste, a native of Pérez Zeledón, the same area in southern Costa Rica where the goalkeeper was born, while Colombian actor Matt Márquez portrays adult Navas.

The film's soundtrack combines rock, trova, tropical music, and traditional sounds of Costa Rica. The main theme, "Al Frente," was written and performed by renowned Costa Rican singer Debi Nova.

Keylor Navas is considered the most successful football player in the history of his country, having won ten titles in four seasons with Real Madrid, including two UEFA Champions League titles, two FIFA Club World Cup titles, and one La Liga title.

One of the moviegoers who bought a ticket to see the film was Carolina Cascante, a Costa Rican fan who was wearing a shirt with the goalkeeper's image lifting his arms in celebration.

"I loved the movie, it's a very good topic. It's a faith that moved us, as the movie says, since he has achieved so much and many times people don't understand how he easily made it to the team," Cascante told Efe.

The theaters were also filled with children wearing Real Madrid jerseys with Navas' name on the back.

"I'm a big fan of Keylor, he's really good and I also really like soccer," said eight-year-old César Rodríguez to Efe.
