Edilson almost emulates Roberto Carlos with a powerful free kick in the Club World Cup final

Edilson almost surprised Keylor Navas in the final of the Club World Cup with a free kick from almost 30 meters away. The ball came down a little late, but the shot reminded of Roberto Carlos' powerful strikes.

Around the 27th minute of the first half, the right-back stood in front of the ball, following a similar run-up to his fellow Brazilian and former Madrid player. He struck the ball with the outside of his right foot using the three fingers technique, producing an exceptional curve. However, the ball did not come down in time, although it did scare Navas.

Real Madrid and Gremio are facing each other at the Sheikh Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi for the 2017 Club World Cup final. The whites go into this match with the Clasico against Barcelona on the horizon, one week later on December 23rd at the Santiago Bernabeu, where their future in La Liga will be at stake. Meanwhile, for the Brazilian team, there is nothing more important in the near future than the possibility of winning their second world title, after the 1983 Intercontinental Cup.
