Flamengo and Independiente to Play in the Final of Copa Sudamericana 2017
Flamengo from Brazil and Independiente from Argentina will play in the final of the Copa Sudamericana 2017 after the popular carioca club defeated Colombian team Junior 2-0 in Barranquilla on Thursday in the semifinals.
Led by Colombian Reinaldo Rueda, the successful coach of Atlético Nacional who won the Copa Libertadores 2016, Flamengo prevailed with goals from Felipe Vizeu at 51 and 90+1 minutes.
In the first leg, the red-black team prevailed with a score of 2-1 a week ago at the Maracanã.

Independiente, on the other hand, qualified for the final of the Sudamericana after defeating Libertad from Paraguay 3-1 on Tuesday. Libertad had a 1-0 advantage going into the match in Asunción.
Ezequiel Barco (17, penalty) and Emanuel Gigliotti (18 and 31) became heroes by scoring the goals for Avellaneda's 'Rojo', who were champions of the Sudamericana in 2010. Ángel Cardozo Lucena (24) scored a consolation goal for 'gumarelo'.
The first and second leg matches of the final will be played on December 6 and 13 in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro, respectively.
The champion of the Sudamericana will secure a place in the group stage of the 2018 Copa Libertadores and will compete in the Sudamericana Recopa next year against Brazil's Gremio, the new winner of the 2017 Copa Libertadores.
