An unusual situation occurred on the last day of the Japanese football league. In the match between Cerezo Osaka and Vissel Kobe, a monkey was in charge of performing the ceremonial kickoff. The video went viral on Facebook.

The J1 League match in Japan had this unique event as a preamble. In the images shared on Facebook, a monkey wearing the Cerezo Osaka uniform can be seen entering the field accompanied by its trainer.

The monkey on the field started to step on the game ball and then handed it to the referee, Hiroyuki Kimura. The match would end 3-1 in favor of Cerezo Osaka.
