Mateu Morey Linked with Juventus After Impressive World Cup
Last summer, some reports dared to assume that the young Mateu Morey (17 years old) was determined to leave the ranks of FC Barcelona to embark on a new adventure with Bayern Munich. Although it was rumored that his transfer would be finalized for around €3 million, it ultimately did not occur and the player continued his journey in the Catalan city.
Now, following his notable performance in the U17 World Cup, the Mallorcan is back in the spotlight of the news, being linked to another one of the continent's giants, Juventus. In fact, a report from the newspaper Tuttosport indicates that the bianconeri have already begun to move with the clear objective of being able to incorporate him into their ranks next summer.
However, Juventus is not the only one making a move. Both the aforementioned Bayern and Manchester City are closely monitoring his progress and seriously considering the possibility of competing for a signing that will remain affordable until Barcelona manages to extend and improve his current contract.
A right-back with great endurance who stands out for his ability to run down the wing without neglecting his defensive duties, Morey developed in the academy of Real Mallorca, a team he left in 2015 in an attempt to make a career in La Masia (currently playing for the Juvenil A).
