West Ham Fires Manager Slaven Bilic
West Ham announced on Monday the dismissal of Croatian coach Slaven Bilic after a series of poor results that have led the London club to the relegation zone of the Premier League (18th).
"West Ham can confirm that Slaven Bilic will leave his position at the club today," the Hammers said in a statement. "A change is now necessary in order for the club to react and perform in line with its ambitions," they added.
Croatian coach took charge of the team in 2015 with a three-year contract. The 4-1 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday was his last match.
"The search for a new coach to move West Ham forward is underway and an announcement will be made in the coming days," West Ham said. Bilic's four assistants were also fired.
