Neymar's Possible Move to Real Madrid
What was once just a rumor when Neymar joined PSG, is now gaining more strength: Neymar's time in French football could be just a stepping stone to eventually join Real Madrid and become the indisputable replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. According to 'El Mundo', the Brazilian star and his father have an agreement with Florentino Perez to sign with the Madrid club if PSG doesn't fulfill the sporting project they promised the player (winning the Champions League).
"[...] That's where Madrid comes into play. A Madrid where Cristiano Ronaldo probably won't be anymore and where Neymar can become the undisputed reference of the team," stated the aforementioned source regarding this possible bombshell in world football.
Naturally, a possible move of Neymar to Real Madrid wouldn't sit well with FC Barcelona fans. However, the Brazilian is willing to take the risk in order to take the most definitive step of his career. And of course, to go after the Ballon d'Or for the first time. Unless he wins all possible titles with PSG, Neymar will continue to be a mere spectator of the Ballon d'Or, as has been the case in recent years, where Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have dominated everything. "The fame and glory achieved by succeeding at Real Madrid is hard to surpass, especially if you compete in a lesser league like the French one," added 'El Mundo'.
