Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo admits Real Madrid is not going through the best moment

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that Real Madrid is not going through its best moment after losing 3-1 to Tottenham in the Champions League, but he warns that "the end counts, not the beginning".

"It's a bad streak, but we want to change and I'm sure we will. We also have a lot of time to improve and I am convinced that we will do it," said Cristiano after the Wembley match.

"It's bad because we lose and we are used to winning, but it's a streak. We are not as we wanted to be, but we have to keep going," assured the Portuguese star to 'Bein Sports' television, insisting that "nothing happened".

"We can't always be good. We have to admit that we are not as we wanted to be, but we have to stay calm because I don't see things as bad," he argued.

"Things are as they are. We have to be positive because what counts is the end, not the beginning," argued the Portuguese forward, who believes "the team is confident. We know we are going through a bad moment, but things change".

Cristiano considered that the result recorded at Wembley does not correspond to what was seen on the field and that Real Madrid deserved more.

The Portuguese forward believes that the first goal by the English team was offside, but "these are things we can't control, and the only thing we can control is our attitude, running, fighting, and I don't think we lacked that".

When asked about a possible renewal, Cristiano was categorical: "I'm fine, I have 4 more years on my contract, I don't want to renew".
