About Cristhian Stuani Meeting Zidane

We all dream of meeting our idol at some point in our lives. Today, Cristhian Stuani was lucky enough to meet Zidane; however, the situation must have been one of the most uncomfortable in his life. Zinedine Zidane was the ultimate French star in his time. Quality and elegance are the words that could serve to define the game of, for many, the best midfielder in history, reasons enough to admire him.

Girona hosted Real Madrid on Sunday. The locals won 2-1. In a dream night, Stuani scored a goal, assisted in another, and was key in his team's comeback against the reigning champion.

After the match, the Uruguayan shared a photo with Zidane that stirred up social media. The image shows Stuani with the coach with a caption expressing his infinite happiness at meeting the 'merengue'.

"Hoy me di el gusto de sacarme esta foto con mi Ídolo desde niño!!! Las cosas que el fútbol me ha dado no tiene precio. Gracias Zidane", Stuani posted.

Stuani is living a second youth in newly promoted Girona, where he has already scored five goals.

The defeat by Real Madrid also had a big impact on the standings. Barcelona, the leader, won 2-0 on Saturday at the Athletic Bilbao (14th) field, and its closest follower, Valencia (2nd), won 2-1 at the Alaves (19th) field, so Barça have 28 points, compared to the 24 of the 'che' and the 20 of Real Madrid, which will have to work hard to catch up with a solid Barça.
