Sporting Lisbon couldn't maintain the draw at home. A own goal by Sebastian Coates allowed Barcelona to take the lead.

The Sporting Lisbon was playing an intelligent match against Barcelona at the José Alvalade stadium. However, a small defensive lapse caused Sebastian Coates to score an own goal.

On the 49th minute of the second half, Sebastian Coates scored an own goal after a cross from Lionel Messi on the right side.

The ball reached Sporting Lisbon's area and was disputed by Luis Suárez and Sebastian Coates. Barcelona's striker managed to deflect the ball but it hit the body of the Uruguayan and thus managed to beat goalkeeper Ruí Patricio.
