The Bolivia coach, Mauricio Soria, stated that a Chilean player provoked him by saying that he would watch the World Cup in Russia on television. After winning against the 'Roja' 1-0 in La Paz, Soria believes that the same will happen to him.
"A player who, in my opinion, should have a little more respect for himself, for his country, and for all of us in our country, said that we would watch the World Cup on television. But I think now he will have to watch it on television too," the coach said in a press conference.
Soria responded to a question about the incidents at the end of the match between Chilean and Bolivian players, which ended with a 1-0 victory for the home team at the Hernando Siles stadium.
He added that the victory makes them "believe again" in the team and it shows the improvement in their level of play.
In his opinion, the team is on a "solid" path to approach these matches in a different way.
"Before we used to run more than we thought, today the team runs and also thinks," he expressed.
