A tense atmosphere was experienced before the Bolivia vs Chile match in La Paz for the Russia 2018 qualifiers. In the surroundings of the Hernando Siles stadium, a southern journalist was doing the preview when a local fan, apparently drunk, attacked him and spat on the camera.

Daniel Arrieta, a reporter for the CDF Noticias network, was providing extensive coverage a day before the match for the show 'Todos Juegan' when he was unexpectedly pushed by a Bolivian fan, who then spat on the live camera.

The journalist, being quite sensible, did not fall for the provocation and only narrated what happened without criticizing the person's behavior. Bolivian fans expressed their regret for what happened.
