After 11 years, Zinedine Zidane watched (at least officially) one of the plays that marked the 2006 World Cup. The current coach of Real Madrid observed the headbutt he gave to defender Marco Materazzi in the final of the tournament, during the match between France and Italy.
The event occurred thanks to the channel TF1, from his native France, which invited Zidane to watch different videos of moments throughout his career. Specifically, in the popular aggression, the 45-year-old former footballer remained seated watching the incident with a fixed gaze and without making any gesture.
Afterwards, he declared about it. "I am not proud of that gesture. I have apologized to all the young people, to all those coaches who make football something else. But it is part of my career, my life. It is part of things that are not serious, but that one must accept and digest," he said.
