The Burgos CF and the false signing of Lionel Messi
Burgos CF, from the Spanish Segunda B, became the protagonist on Twitter last night after posting a message on their official account announcing the signing of Lionel Messi.
The message, which included a photomontage of Lionel Messi in the same style that the club uses to announce their real signings, spread on the network in a matter of minutes and was deleted early this morning, when the club itself denied the news.
However, they did it ironically, as all of it was part of a planned campaign by the club's social media manager to generate movement on social networks.
"Our intention was to make a bit of humor," explains Sergio González, press officer for the club, for which they used "a current case", such as the alleged hacking that the official Twitter account of FC Barcelona suffered days ago.
Thus, the denial published by Burgos CF also refers to having been victims of a hack that did not actually happen.
Well, our profile was hacked during the night, but it has already been controlled and neutralized.

"We wanted to make healthy humor, without getting involved with anyone or being disrespectful, and we believe that we have achieved that since the message has been very well received on social networks," says González.
In addition, the campaign has achieved its goal, as the message has "more than 5,000 retweets and more than 3,500 likes" at this time, making it one of the most successful messages from a profile that currently has almost 16,900 followers.
