Attack in Barcelona | The football world shows solidarity with the victims.

Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Fernando Alonso, Pau Gasol, and the sports world in general have shown their support for the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred today in Las Ramblas, Barcelona.

Both Barcelona and Espanyol have expressed their "consternation" on their official Twitter accounts upon learning the news of the attack, which has caused several deaths and numerous injuries.

Real Madrid has expressed its condolences in a statement for the terrorist attack that Barcelona has suffered, expressing its "profound consternation" and solidarity with the victims and injured in Las Ramblas.

Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo also used his Twitter account to express being "appalled by the news coming from Barcelona". Another Real Madrid footballer who feels "shocked" by what happened has been Dani Carvajal. Also, the former captain of the white team, Iker Casillas, felt sad and sent "a lot of strength to Barcelona".

The world stands in solidarity. Frenchman Samuel Umtiti was the first FC Barcelona player to speak out after the attack through Twitter. Many clubs joined this support, such as Valencia, Levante, or Getafe. In addition, the official La Liga account sent "all its support" to Barcelona.

The Spanish national football coach, Julen Lopetegui, described the attack as a "cowardly and cruel act" and sent his "thoughts and affection to all the victims and their families". Foreign football teams, such as Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, expressed their thoughts for the victims of Barcelona through their Twitter accounts. (EFE)
