The Best of FIFA 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi among the candidates
Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentinian Lionel Messi top the list of candidates to be awarded with The Best of FIFA 2017.

Cristiano Ronaldo was voted the best player of 2016 and also presents himself as a strong candidate along with Messi, who is in second place ahead of the Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, who is also on the list.
Real Madrid also has Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Marcelo, Modric, Keylor Navas, and Sergio Ramos on the list, while Barcelona also has Andrés Iniesta, Luis Suárez, and Neymar, although the latter signed with Paris Saint Germain a few weeks ago.
Voting will start on August 21st and close on September 7th. The final list of three nominees, as in the rest of the categories, will be announced in mid-September, and the awards ceremony will take place in London on Monday, October 23rd.
