The president of the Referees Commission, Arturo Brizio Carter, assured that Mexican refereeing has a high level, which is why they are always considered in FIFA tournaments.

"I see it as I have for many years, I believe that Mexican refereeing is indisputably in the top ten in the world, at the FIFA level it continues to be highly regarded, we have three referees competing for the World Cup, in that sense I see it very well," said Brizio.

Arturo denied that there is a crisis in refereeing as it has been handled in recent seasons; however, he believes that this situation is due to the fact that "we see the local tournament so closely and there may be one or two complicated matches per week, which magnify the fact of saying that there is a crisis and that Mexican refereeing is bad."

In addition, he pointed out that the high level of the referees is not only in the Primera División, but also in the Ascenso MX and in lower divisions, and although they know they are not the protagonists of the matches, "they are a very important part of it and we have to provide a first-class service."

The president of the Commission assured that this new group of "extraordinary" referees have to "train more and more to become experts."

Therefore, Brizio Carter will seek to recover "the self-esteem of the referee, the personality that he must project towards the environment, players, coaches, executives, public, press, as well as the joy of refereeing."
