Fabio Coentrao left Real Madrid for Sporting Lisbon. The left-back went on loan for a season to regain his best level, but from Benfica their fans have called him one of the biggest traitors.

And it turns out that the player said that if he returned to Portugal, it would only be to the ''Aguilas' team (he played there for three seasons). However, he ended up signing a contract with their archrival.
"Now I have a four-year contract with Madrid, but Benfica is the club of my heart. Someday I will return, but I cannot know. We are talking about something that people know is very special," said Coentrao at the time.
This will be his second loan after the Whites loaned him to AS Monaco during the 2015/16 season. He did not play in the last Champions League final as he was left out of Zinedine Zidane's squad.
