YouTube | And the VAR? That's what everyone is asking after seeing Gary Medel's unfair action against Emre Can this Sunday in the Confederations Cup final, in which Germany became champion after defeating Chile by a tight 1-0.
It was the 89th minute and time was running out for La Roja. That's when Emre Can fell to the ground and held onto the ball with his legs to delay the game; however, he received a foul that he would have never imagined.
While the Liverpool midfielder was on the ground, several Chilean players went after him, including defender Gary Medel, who didn't hesitate to put his fingers in the German's butt.
And as incredible as it may seem, despite the fact that referee Milorad Mazic used VAR, he only cautioned Emre Can; however, nothing happened to the Chilean player.
The video of what happened was posted on YouTube and quickly went viral on all social media platforms. Here it is, so don't miss it.
