Keylor Navas
Keylor Navas, goalkeeper of Real Madrid, was rejected by Barcelona in 2008. This was revealed in the last few hours by Ricardo Cabañas, the player's representative.
According to Keylor Navas' agent, an assistant of Pep Guardiola, then coach of Barcelona, closed the door on him with this phrase: "He's an amazing goalkeeper, Ricardo, but no one is going to sign a Costa Rican goalkeeper. No big team.".
Apparently, Barcelona rejected Keylor's services, who at that time was playing for Saprissa, simply because he came from a country with little football history and potential for resale.
Two years later, Keylor signed with Albacete, continued his career at Levante, and finally in 2014, after a great World Cup in Brazil with the Costa Rican national team, Real Madrid set their eyes on him and signed him.
