Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announces Injustice 2 Championship Series
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced the Injustice 2 Championship Series in collaboration with ESL. Players from the United States, Europe, and Latin America will have the opportunity to compete for the title of world champion in the game and a portion of the $600,000 in prizes.
The main championship will be the Injustice 2 Pro Series, where 16 finalists from all regions will compete in the finals on September 16-17 in Los Angeles. There will also be a Global Grand Finals in October, but there is currently no information available.
For those who don't feel ready for this level, each region will host a specific event for their countries. In the United States, this version will be called 'Hometown Heroes', primarily organized by Gamestop, where the finalists from each region will compete on August 12 and then fight in the grand final on August 27 in Las Vegas.
In Europe, it will be called Path to Pro Series, with France, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Benelux Union, and the Nordic Territories entering the competition. 12 finalists from various countries will compete in the final on August 19.
For players in Latin America, there will be the Injustice 2 Liga Latina, where Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Peru will battle it out to reach the grand final on August 13. On the other hand, Brazil will have its own competition that will be announced very soon.
The online and offline qualifiers have already begun since May, and you can find more information on the exact dates of each match by region on the official Injustice eSports page.
