The days go by quickly and the continuity of Claudio Pizarro in Werder Bremen is still unknown. His contract expires soon. The 'lagarto' leadership explained the reason why they have not been able to advance in the negotiations.

"The case [peruvian's renewal] is still being considered. It has not yet been decided how to proceed with Claudio Pizarro," said Frank Baumann, sporting director of Werder Bremen, in statements published by the portal "Bild Sport".
According to this media outlet, Claudio Pizarro's future will depend on the strikers who remain or arrive at Werder Bremen. The priority of coach Alexander Nouri is youth over experience.
