However, Fabio Coentrao's case will be different. Of the 3.5 million euros per year that the player will receive, two million will be assumed by Real Madrid, while Sporting Lisbon will take care of the remaining one and a half million.
According to the 'A Bola' portal, Sporting Lisbon would have asked Real Madrid not to pay more than one million euros for Fabio Coentrao, however, the club will have to take care of the additional five hundred thousand euros.
The reason why Real Madrid does this is because they do not want Fabio Coentrao, who has given a lot to the club, to be inactive, which would significantly degrade his value.
