Manchester United: Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to renew his contract
Zlatan Ibrahimovic was a key player for Manchester United. The 35-year-old Swedish attacker arrived last season as José Mourinho's star signing and did not disappoint.
In 46 matches played in all competitions, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals. He was having a phenomenal campaign with Manchester United. However, he couldn't finish it as he would have liked due to a severe ligament injury.
As a result of this problem, rumors of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's possible departure from Manchester United emerged. This is because his contract expires in June. But his agent, Mino Raiola, indicated that the Swedish player wants to continue wearing the 'Red Devils' shirt.
"Oh, yes. He wants to stay in England. He can be a valuable player for some other top club. But I think it's respectful to talk to Manchester United and see what all parties want. Why not Manchester United," said Zlatan Ibrahimovic's representative in an interview with "TalkSport".
"We have a lot of offers and we have to evaluate them. He had a fantastic season with Manchester United. For now, it's important that he recovers well and then we'll see," he added.
For now, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to undergo rehabilitation. He was operated on at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and doctors have stated that his return date to the field is still unclear.
