With a total of 78 points - Barcelona came second with 75 - Atlético de Madrid achieved their first league title in history. Kenti Robles, a regular starter at right back for the Rojiblancos, played a decisive role in their victory.
The Mexican, called up for the friendly match on June 10 between her country's national team and Venezuela in Monterrey, played 70 minutes in the decisive match against Real Sociedad before being replaced by Marta Corredera.
This is the fourth league title the 26-year-old player from Mexico City has won.
Before joining Atlético de Madrid, Kenti Robles celebrated three league titles with Barcelona in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
In addition, she has won three Copa de la Reina titles. She won it in 2008 with Espanyol, in 2013 and 2014 with Barcelona, and in 2016 with her current team, Atlético de Madrid.
