There is less and less time for the start of the Confederations Cup and some participating teams have started to announce their list of players. One of them has been Germany, which preferred to give rest to its main figures and include seven debutants instead.
The goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, the defenders Mats Hummels and Jérome Boateng, the midfielders Sami Khedira, Tony Kroos, Mesut Özil, and the forward Thomas Müller will not be in the tournament.
The coach Joachim Löw has preferred to appeal to the youth to face the Confederations Cup. Sandro Wagner, Amin Younes, Diego Demme, Kevin Trapp, Kerem Demirbay, Marvin Plattenhardt, and Lars Stindl will have the opportunity to wear the Germany shirt for the first time.
The 'experienced' ones. "We are going with a very young squad with the intention of looking to the future. They are kids who have to know how we train and how things go in the German National Team," said the German coach. Despite their youth, the Barcelona goalkeeper Ter Stegen, the Bayern Munich defender Joshua Kimmich, and the PSG midfielder Julian Draxler will provide the experience to the team.
Located in Group B, Germany will face Australia, Chile, and Cameroon in the tournament. The Confederations Cup will be played from June 17th to July 2nd in Russia.
