Marcelo Vieira takes responsibility for Real Madrid's loss to Barcelona

Marcelo Vieira, a defender for Real Madrid, took his share of the blame for Lionel Messi's third goal in the 92nd minute, stating that if he had committed a technical foul, he could have prevented the Argentine player's goal.

The Brazilian defender had the opportunity to stop Sergi Roberto in the last play. However, he did not do it, and the player from Barcelona continued a move that ended in a 2-3 victory for Barcelona.

"We managed to draw a match that many people didn't believe in. With one less player, to draw 2-2... If I commit a technical foul, maybe they don't score. It's impossible to see the future, but I take the blame. We leave with our heads held high, we have two competitions and we can do well," he declared.

"These are things that happen in football, it could be me or another player. You don't know if committing the foul will result in an expulsion. We attack because if the ball is near their goal, it's harder for them to score. It got away from us and they scored. But we leave with our heads held high," he insisted.

He also indicated that this type of play can happen "to anyone" and informed that the result will not affect Real Madrid "at all" in future matches.

Regarding Sergio Ramos' expulsion, he stated that his teammate was "very angry" and did not want to comment on the referee's performance: "It's tough to play with one less player," he concluded.
