Juventus Turin: Planning for the future
Juventus Turin is one of the great teams in Europe, the dominant force in Italian calcio over the last five years, and one of the favorites to win the Champions League. However, before they can think about facing FC Barcelona, they are already working on planning for the next season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the first steps the Italian club needs to take is to acquire the rights of Mehdi Benatia, who is currently on loan from Bayern Munich.
The 29-year-old Moroccan arrived in the summer but has only played in 14 games (scoring 1 goal) so far. Nevertheless, the Italian club is reportedly planning to buy him for a fee of 17 million euros, in a deal that will also involve Kingsley Coman.
Interestingly, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed today that his club will buy the French winger, while Benatia will remain in Italy. However, with defenders like Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli, and Rugani in the team, it will be difficult for him to secure a starting position.
