Here we take a look at five things we spotted in Tottenham's latest training session at Hotspur Way ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against Fulham

It's set to be a very quiet weekend in the Premier League with only four games on the calendar as a result of the FA Cup quarter-finals taking place. Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham side are involved in one of those four league fixtures as they make the trip across the capital to face Fulham.

Fresh from last Sunday's outstanding 4-0 win away at Aston Villa, the Lilywhites will be intent on building on that excellent showing and leapfrogging Villa in fourth by claiming all three points in west London. If indeed that proves to be the case, Spurs may only be in a Champions League position for a matter of hours with Unai Emery's side playing West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of this weekend's trip to Fulham, Postecoglou and his Spurs players are putting in the hard work at their Hotspur Way training base. Here are five things we spotted from their latest session.

Tottenham squad show their support

The Tottenham squad sported a different look in training at Hotspur Way on Wednesday as all players wore colourful mismatched socks. Tottenham as a club are proudly supporting Down Syndrome Awareness Week and they highlighted the #LotsOfSocks campaign ahead of World Down Syndrome Day on Thursday, March 21.

The campaign embraces the sock-like appearance of chromosomes, with individuals born with Down syndrome typically having three copies of chromosome 21 instead of two. The club's latest session at their Enfield training base was attended by young people with Down syndrome and their families and it appeared to be a very enjoyable day for all involved.

Classy Ange moment

Tottenham supporters may have seen Postecoglou reunited with a familiar face at Hotspur Way on Wednesday with the club posting a short video clip on their social media channels. Many may remember young Spurs supporter Owen Bright, who was asked by the head coach to ask a question at the end of the club's fan forum at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium midway through September.

Owen was in attendance for training on Wednesday and he once again shared a heartwarming moment with Postecoglou. Spotting the head coach walking over, the youngster raced into the 58-year-old's arms for a big hug and shared a few words before Postecoglou told him that he had something that he wanted to show him.

Taking Owen to his office and discussing Sunday's win over Aston Villa along the way, the Australian surprised Owen by showing him a photo of the pair from September's fan forum. The photo sat proudly in his office alongside pictures of Postecoglou's family members.

"That's us isn't it? You signed it for me and everything," Postecoglou told the Tottenham fan. "I am with you in my office all the time so I will see you every day. Good man. Let's go watch some training.."

It was a brilliant moment for Owen and it once again highlighted the sheer class of Postecoglou.

Richarlison spotted

Following Wednesday's training session, the Tottenham squad gathered for a group photo with the youngsters who had watched their heroes in action at Hotspur Way. Many Spurs fans may have noted that Richarlison was back with the group after his recent absence from the team due to injury.

Sustaining a knee problem in last month's defeat to Wolves and set for a period of three to four weeks on the sidelines, question marks were soon raised over the Brazilian's actual return date following his comments about a training return prior to last Sunday's win over Aston Villa. The ex-Everton attacker wasn't involved at Villa Park last weekend but there's a chance he could potentially be back in the squad for the trip to Fulham after making his comeback in training.

Richarlison will be desperate to take his place back on the field for Spurs, especially with Brazil having two friendlies on the calendar very soon with games against England and Spain to come during March's international break.

No Van de Ven

It probably won't come as a shock to Tottenham fans but there was no sighting of Micky van de Ven in the group photo taken on Wednesday. A pivotal figure in defence for Spurs so far this season, the Dutchman unfortunately limped off injured early in the second half during the win over Aston Villa.

A concerning moment for all connected with the club as soon as the centre-back went to ground after previously missing two months of the season with a hamstring injury, Postecoglou admitted after the game that Van de Ven didn't believe his injury was "anything too significant". As the head coach will provide a further update on his player in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Radu Dragusin looks on course to come into the Tottenham side at Craven Cottage.

The Romanian impressed in his game time against Aston Villa and he will be determined to make a case for himself once again due to a lack of minutes since his January switch from Genoa.

Defender returns

One player who was spotted at the back of the group photo was Alfie Dorrington. A regular in first-team training and also the matchday squad this season due to a lack of numbers at times, the centre-back has been missing of late through injury.

Pulling up with a hamstring issue when playing for the club's Under-21s at the end of January and facing between six to eight weeks on the sidelines, the 18-year-old has missed quite a few games following his time in the treatment room. Dorrington could well be back on the pitch very soon as he was seen with the rest of Tottenham's first-team squad in training.
