The situation of Brazilian footballer Antony becomes increasingly complicated. The Premier League footballer finally broke his silence and denied the allegations of assault made by his ex-girlfriend during an interview on the Brazilian channel SBT's program 'Fofocalizando'. The new alleged victims, Ingrid Lana and Rayssa de Freitas, accuse the Manchester United player of a series of assaults that allegedly occurred in 2022, according to several Brazilian media outlets.
In response, Manchester United issued a statement stating that the police are conducting the corresponding investigations into the case. "We recognize the existing accusations against the South American footballer and understand that the police are conducting an investigation. Pending further information, the club will not make further comments on the matter," said the team, which had a similar case with Mason Greenwood, also accused of assault.
Brazilian portal UOL Esporte reported that the English team has registered the accusations directed at Antony and is seriously considering the possibility of excluding the player from the professional squad during the resolution of his case. New assault allegations
The first of them claims that her incident occurred in Manchester in 2022 when the player reacted violently after she refused to have sexual relations. According to her version, this encounter took place after Antony contacted her to discuss business matters.
The second person who filed a complaint is a Law student who initiated legal proceedings against the footballer due to an incident that took place at a party in Sao Paulo in May 2022. In her testimony, she claimed that the forward assaulted her in a vehicle during a heated argument with Mallu Ohana, Dudu's wife, a Palmeiras player and a close friend of Antony. She claims that both the Brazilian footballer and the young woman attacked her, but she managed to escape. This incident was reported to the Public Security Secretariat and referred to the Prosecutor's Office and Justice in July 2022, although it is not known if charges were filed.
Recently, DJ Gabriela Cavallin went to the Tatuapé Women's Defense police station to submit a series of threatening messages and visual evidence supporting her complaint against the player.
Antony declares himself innocent
In a statement issued by the player, he stated, "I can confidently say that the accusations are false and the evidence I have provided shows that I am innocent."
