Chelsea are reportedly preparing a new bid for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Londoners have already had three bids rejected for the Ecuadorian, who starred for Brighton as they secured Europa Conference League football last term.
However, the 21-year-old was absent from Sunday's pre-season draw with Rayo Vallencano on Sunday, with CEO Paul Barber later insisting his omission was solely down to fitness-related reasons.
According to the Guardian, Chelsea are set to launch a new bid for the midfielder this week, with Caicedo, himself, now pushing for the move after he was absent from Brighton's training session on Monday. It is claimed the midfielder is "growing frustrated" and "unsettled" and is, therefore, a doubt to feature in Saturday's Premier League opener against Luton Town.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino's side are reportedly looking to further bolster their midfield ranks with the addition of Leeds United's Tyler Adams, whose contract contains a release clause following the Elland Road outfit's relegation to the Championship. The Guardian report that a bid for the 24-year-old is "expected" to be lodged in the comings.
Staying in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur have rejected Bayern Munich's latest offer for captain Harry Kane, who has just 12 months remaining on his deal with the North Londoners. The 30-year-old forward has been the subject of numerous bids from the Bundesliga giants this summer but Spurs are standing firm in their valuation of their captain.
According to German publication Bild, personal terms have already been agreed with Kane - who now looks set to start for Tottenham against Brentford on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Neymar Jr's father, who also happens to be his agent, has denied claims the forward has asked to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer - inferring that the Ligue 1 champions may be the ones looking to orchestrate the player's sale.
The 31-year-old, who has been with the Parisians since leaving Barcelona in 2017, has three years left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes but has been linked with moves to Chelsea and also a stunning return to Barcelona in recent days.
Speaking to the Premier League Brasil, Neymar da Silva Santos said: "I can't confirm a news that didn't happen. L'Equipe being L'Efake. (The alleged information) came from somewhere, let's try to understand the intention."
