An affectionate hug between Claudio Pizarro and Pep Guardiola served as the background for the greeting made by Manchester City to Peru this Friday, July 28, the date on which the Day of Independence is celebrated.
“Happy Independence Day, Peru!”, highlighted the 'citizens' through their official accounts in Spanish. “What better way to celebrate it than with this photo of Pep and The Andes Bomber”, added the English club, taking advantage of the last meeting between both figures of world football.
Pizarro coincided with the popular coach last Wednesday in a friendly match between Manchester City and Bayern Munich, a team where he left a mark andcurrently serves as an ambassador.
The Peruvian forward was directed by Pep Guardiola during his last stage as a player for the German team. They maintain a good relationship since that experience.
