Claudio Pizarro has appeared again to tell his anecdotes in his career in the king sport. The one who for many is one of the most successful Peruvian footballers of all time met with his friends, Luis Guadalupe, and revealed that a world-class figure decided not to be in his retirement from the field.

'Bombardero' of the Andes sat down with 'Cuto' and confessed how his retirement organized by Werder Bremen at the event called 'La Fiesta de Claudio' in 2020 was. Despite the magnitude of the event, there was a coach who could not be present on the edge of the field among the guests and that Pizarro himself, assures, always wanted to have as his leader.

It's Jürgen Klopp, who according to the words of the former captain of the Peruvian national team, could not attend because of his commitments with Liverpool of the Premier League. "I invited him to my farewell and he was like yes, no. I always wanted to have him as my coach, so I called him directly and I spoke with him and he told me that the situation in Liverpool was complicated because they had lost two games and he told me 'I can't, it's complicated, but I liked it, he told me he would have loved it'," were the words of 'Pizza'.

Jürgen Klopp couldn't be present at Claudio Pizarro's retirement due to his tight schedule with Liverpool.

As you remember, while the Peruvian was part of the powerful Bayern Munich in 2013, Klopp was in charge of the decisions on the bench of the classic rival, Borussia Dortmund. For that reason, they both knew each other.

What is Claudio Pizarro doing at present?

Currently, Claudio Pizarro works as an ambassador for Bayern and is also considered a 'Legend' by FIFA. In both tasks, he attends autograph signings and 'meet and greet' with fans. He also organizes talks where he gives an example of group management in dressing rooms and tells his experience to players who are just starting their professional careers.
