This Tuesday, the United States faces Iran in the last round of the group stage of the World Cup Qatar 2022 and, on their part, Christian Pulisic was in charge of scoring the first goal of the match in favor of the North American team during the first half of the game after an assist from Sergiño Dest.
The goal came in the 38th minute of the match after an offensive play by the Americans that ended with a header pass from Dest from the right side. Pulisic was able to anticipate the marking of the rival defenders and finished with a single touch quite close to the opponent's goal, thus opening the scoring against Iran.
With this goal, the United States sealed a 1-0 lead in their favor in the first half of the game, a result that, for now, allows them to qualify as the second place in Group B, considering that England and Wales continue to draw without goals in the simultaneous match.
