The English footballer fulfilled his promise after scoring in the 6-2 victory against Iran.

Author of England's sixth goal in the victory of his team against Iran (6-2), Jack Grealish dedicated his goal to Finlay, an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy, to whom he promised a special celebration.

Grealish, who only had to tap the ball in after a pass from Callum Wilson to score the final goal, did not forget to wave his arms in a wave-like motion, near a corner, as the young boy asked him to do before the World Cup.

The Manchester City player met the boy as part of the activities of the City in the Community foundation, after the boy wrote him a long letter expressing his admiration for his sports career, but also Grealish's dedication to his younger sister Hollie, who is also affected by the same developmental disorder.

"I wish there were more people in the world like you who treat people with disabilities just like any other person," wrote Finlay.

Grealish then committed to dedicate his next goal. "First, I have to score; then, I will do it for you, but I've only scored once this season," Grealish said in a video broadcasted by the Premier League.

"I will do it for you, I promise, the next time I score," he promised. And he fulfilled it this Monday. AFP
