Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain passed away this Thursday, September 8, at the age of 96. After the news, Manchester United was moved by the situation and expressed their condolences to the monarch.
“The Manchester United shares the pain of the entire nation following the announcement from Buckingham Palace about the death of Queen Elizabeth II,” the club wrote on their Twitter account.
Given this moment that the European country is going through, the London Bridge operation is activated, a plan that keeps the country in deep mourning and lasts for 12 days (including the funeral, the coronation of the new king, and the burial of the queen).
Despite this, the English club indicated that the match against Real Sociedad will be played as planned.
