Manchester United confirmed the signing of Danish player Christian Eriksen this Friday. He arrives for free after playing six months at Brentford. The Danish player, who returned to professional football in January after suffering a cardiac arrest, has signed a contract with the Red Devils until June 2025.
Eriksen has played 237 matches in the Premier League, between Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 52 goals and providing 71 assists.
"United is a special club and I am eager to start. I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times, but doing it now with the United shirt is going to be incredible," said Eriksen in statements to the club's media.

Eriksen is the second signing of United in this summer transfer window, following the arrival of central defender Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.
The Danish midfielder, who has also played for Inter Milan and Ajax Amsterdam, will reinforce Erik Ten Hag's team, but he will not join the preseason that the team is currently doing in Australia, where they have already played two matches.
Eriksen will join his teammates in Oslo at the end of July, where the English team will face Atletico Madrid.
