Manchester United: Christian Eriksen has become a new player for the English team.

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the 2021-2022 Premier League and did not qualify for the Champions League. Now, the English team, which will compete in the Europa League this season, avoids repeating the irregular campaign of last season and, for that reason, announced a new reinforcement: Christian Eriksen.

The club announced, through its website, that the midfielder of the Denmark national team has signed a contract until June 2025. After the officialization of his signing, the player explained that he feels excited to join the 'Red Devils'.

"Manchester United is a special club, and I can't wait to start. I have had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times, but doing it with this institution's shirt will be amazing.", said the footballer.

Similarly, he praised his new coach. "I have seen Erik Ten Hag's work at Ajax, and I know the level of detail and preparation he has. He is a fantastic coach. After talking to him and learning more about his vision and how he wants the team to play, I got even more excited about the future. I still have great ambitions, so this is the perfect place to continue my journey," he added.

In addition, Manchester United's football director, John Murtough, highlighted their new signing. "Throughout his career, Christian has been one of the best offensive midfielders in Europe. I am not surprised that he has had so many offers this summer, so we are very happy to have him," he expressed.

It is worth remembering that Eriksen played last season at Brentford where he played 11 matches. The player scored one goal and provided four assists, although it is important to mention that he played his first game with the 'Bees' in February of this year as he was still recovering from a heart problem.
