Life always takes twists and turns. Sometimes it's tough, other times it's great. That's the case for Terry Kennedy, an English young man who, at 26 years old, had to quit football due to a series of injuries that prevented him from reaching the Premier League, and today, two years later, won the lottery.

No kidding. He played as a defender for eight years. Between 2011 and 2016, he defended the Sheffield United shirt, where he coincided with Harry Maguire for four seasons, who now plays for Manchester United and the England national team.

He started in the Championship and then moved to League One. However, knee injuries forced him to descend in terms of categories, and he later joined Cambridge United (League Two), Alfreton Town, Harrogate Town, and Guiseley (National League), the team with which he decided to retire after playing only three games in the season (2018-19).

His dream of reaching the Premier League was frustrated, but he certainly didn't expect that in 2021 he would become the lottery winner, winning one million pounds (around 1.34 million dollars).

The news was shared through a video that went viral on social media. In the video, we can see Terry Kennedy, Harry Maguire's former teammate, holding his lottery ticket, talking to his wife, and getting emotional after comparing the numbers. At the end, he cries tears of joy. It's a joy that is undoubtedly easy to understand.
